Natural marble

Introduction:

The marble referred to in the architectural decoration project is in a broad sense, in addition to marble, it also refers to a variety of carbonate rocks and its related metamorphic rocks, such as limestone, dolomite, calcareous sandstone, etc., which have decorative functions and can be smoothed and polished. Marble plate is mainly composed of carbonate minerals.

Natural marble texture is dense, high compressive strength, low water absorption, soft texture, is an alkaline medium hard stone. It is easy to process, good light, often made into polished plates, its rich color, delicate material, highly decorative. Its chemical composition is CaO, MgO, SiO2, etc., of which the total amount of CaO and MgO accounts for more than 50%, so the marble is alkaline stone. In the atmosphere by sulfide and water formed by acid rain for a long time, marble is prone to corrosion, resulting in reduced surface strength, discoloration, loss of luster, affecting its decorative performance.
